beautiful cotton candy skies welcomed me home

For those of you who don’t know, I was born in New Jersey and moved to California during the summer of 4th grade. It was nice to be back and embrace my Jersey roots.

This is my favorite cap! It’s a bit faded, since I wear it all the time, but it’s all good. This dress is an oldie but I never wore it due to its awkward length, but right before the trip, I cut it short and now I’m feeling it. I layered the dress with my new favorite printed tee. I’m really obsessed with FRIENDS so I was super stoked to see a FRIENDS inspired HOMIES tee from Vivian.

The pools at Sojo Sauna were amazing, but here’s another pool with a pretty view of the Hudson River and NYC.

I relived part of my childhood while catching fireflies

I was lucky to catch a local park reopening filled with food trucks, people, music, bouncy houses, and games, finished with beautiful, yet loud fireworks.

these pictures don’t do justice for the firework show I saw 🙁

My Grandma is such a good cook so I ate mostly home cooked meals, but I did go to a AYCE shabu shabu joint. It was super yummy and had a surreal amount of sauces. And whenever I’m in Jersey I always stop by a small, local sandwich shop called Subz Up because the place is so so so good. I only wish I could Postmates it to California.

My stay in Jersey was short and mostly spent catching up with my grandparents and cousins, but my next stop is the city!! I couldn’t capture every moment and most of these pictures were taken on my phone, but this is a solid collection of memories from my stay at my hometown. Now, my next post will be Becky’s ventures in the city.
